Can I get some recommendations for some helmet coms. Looking to do some long ride outs and the wife wants to be able to talk to me.

Three weeks ago I purchased my first ever system from UClear. Got a great price at Cyclegear for the single headset. I wanted it for GPS directions and some music on occasion.
With their base model I can do the following functions. Answer incoming calls, map directions, music, communicate with a rider.
That's really all I wanted. The Uclear's have a jawbone type mic built into the speakers. So there's no boom mic, no wired mic.
Just two speakers, one wire hidden away in the lining and the small Bluetooth device mounted to the helmet.
I think it works very well, and the sound is impressive.

Good sound and cheap. Like 80 bux.
Sena 10r. Really nice, can replace stuff. Would be in my other helmet, but I already stuck the battery to it.
Have to order another battery to switch it into my every day helmet.

I have the older Sena SMH 10 and very happy with it. In a full-face the mic is good and taking calls up to 80/90 kph no probs...then the wind noise gets too much for it. Headphone pads/speakers sound a bit tin-y but with soft earplugs in (my usual) and the vol up the bass comes through nicely.
Battery life good for a weekend of music at least as I've never had it run out during a weekend run...
It pairs to the iPhone in my jacket instantly and the volume and controls very simple. The BT between bikes also has a good range... and when you need to talk re the route etc you're usually a lot closer.. :)
Link above shows the fitting to the helmet, easy as the Shoei had gaps where the headphone pads went...

If I wanted to talk whilst upon the journey, I'd drive the efen car.
Even then she'd have a hard time talking over the tunes.

They work very well and can hear each other clearly. ( I guess that is a good thing )
I also paired my 10r with my satnav and again works very well and clear.
Tried the in built FM radio and again all good.
Have not tried to pair with a friend on another bike yet but so far I can recommend the Sena coms.
